The Andhra Pradesh state government has decided to regulate the admission process and the fee structure in various business schools across the state.At present,B-schools in the state have differnt fee structures and there is no uniform academic calender or syllabus.Each B-school is free to fix its own fees.The decison follows the latest morms devised by the AICTE under which the admission process and fee fixation for the PGDM will be conducted by the respective state governments.There are nearly 30 prominent B-schools across the state with most of them located in Hyderabad.

According to the new norms issued by the AICTE,the duration of PGDM courses should not be less than 24 months.Admission to all PGDM courses should be done through common enterance tests such as CAT/MAt or examinations conducted by the respective state governments(ICet in case of AP).Admissions to PGDM,PGDM(executive) and PGCM should not start before March 31 of the academic year.
